Marion County Community Crisis Response Team
Ten times a year Associate and Active CCRT members receive 1˝ hour pre-event instruction in various scenario exercises.  From 9/11/01 to 5/21/10 we have held 87 such meetings.  Since 1992 this CCRT has been on-call with the National Hotline of the ICISF.  All active members must receive training in (1) Drs. Mitchell and Everly’s CISM model; (2) the U. of South Florida's Disaster Behavioral Health First Aid Specialist Training for adults (B-FAST), special needs survivors (B-FASTsn), children (C-FAST) or responders (R-Fast); or (3) U. of Miami's Disaster & Extreme Event Preparedness (DEEP) Center's course in Psychological First Aid. Members must be prepared to serve in Marion County or elsewhere if called.  Those who wish to apply and learn to qualify for this CCRT may contact Team Co-Coordinators, Fred Miley, M.D. at (352) 629-4448 or Winifred O'Neill, R.N. at (352) 873-7677.
