Marion County Community Crisis Response Team
Ten times a year Associate and Active CCRT members receive 1.5 hour pre-event instruction in various scenario exercises.  From 9/11/01 to 1/23/19 we have held 173 such meetings.   All active members must receive training in (1) Drs. Mitchell and Everly's CISM model; (2) the U. of South Florida's Disaster Behavioral Health First Aid Specialist Training for adults (B-FAST), special needs survivors (B-FASTsn), children (C-FAST) or responders (R-Fast); or (3) U. of Miami's Disaster & Extreme Event Preparedness (DEEP) Center's course in Psychological First Aid. Members must be prepared to serve in Marion County or elsewhere if called.  Those who wish to apply and learn to qualify for this CCRT may contact Team Co-Coordinators, Fred Miley, M.D. at (352) 843-0747 or Winifred O'Neill, R.N. at (352) 873-7677.
